Any longboarders in Kansas City?

Ok the midwest isnt exactly well known for its huge hills but im still wondering if im the only longboarder in the KC area. Are there any groups that I could get in touch with? Any help is appreciated thanx

..Super..is there large parking garages? I am sure there is a few in KC. You might want to scout out some garages that dont have gaurds at the gates and promote that every week like us (Mile High Rollers in Denver)

Well I dont really live in the city just the outskirts. And definantly not near any parking decks lol. None of my friends ride longboards and to be honest im the only longboarder iv ever met. So I dont really know how to go about making my own group. Plus skateboarding is illegal in my town so any events or meetings that would be planned would have to be conducted in another town where the laws arent so harsh.

..show your friends how big this site is and how many tens of thousands world wide ride longboards. Then get them together 2-3 times a month and car pool to a "big city" with parking garages. Do a little outlaw riding...

if you live on "The Outskirts" or in other words "Suburbs" thats some good riding, start your own crew. my friend has only been riding with us for like 1month and he has already started his own legion of "The KC Guttermonkies" because he lives like a half hour away. just talk 2 people, let them ride ur board a bit and if they like it, tell them 2 buy their own and saddle up!

if the cops give you that much crap: remember You arent skateboarding, try to explain that normal skateboarders tear things up, but in essence, you are riding in circles

my friends and i have been everywhere longboarding in KC. You can't beat Johnson Drive by Pflumm, big cruising hills. Mapquest it and hit it up. It's in Shawnee.

also... if you're looking for a big parking garage, the Sprint Headquarters in Overland Park, (119th and Nall) has several Huge garages.

we have a crew in kc....but most of the group is over on the missouri side...and i'm over in kansas...we're always happy to have new riders

My buddy and I ride westport area, downtown, a few spotted good garages, stay away from the plaza as there are alot of guards, opposite side of plaza has a series of short runs can be vicious. If you can hold the lines through mission hills, its a good ride, just watch out for cops.

I'm located in St. Joseph and am willing to make the hour drive every few weeks or so. I'm always looking to board.

And in case anyone is interested, the bluff area between St. Joseph and Atchison looks to have some good DH roads that I suspect would be super empty. My bro and I are going to scope it out soon. PM if you have any questions..
