We must create a scene.....recapture our culture by any means ! Searching for partners in crime in the central oklahoma area to try and organize weekly sessions (hills, garages, sliding, cones, etc.) ! Anyone interested can reply to this thread or email me at info@pressuredroplongboards.com Thanks, Shaun.
Look us up next time you are in Lawton with your longboard. There are some nice hills in the Wichita Mtn. Wildlife Refuge. Shaun.
There sure are! I've ridden my road bike on every single one of them. I grew up in Lawton and the refuge totally saved me. What a sweet place. I'm there twice a year now, when I visit my mom. Will be back in April before it gets too hot. Y'all around Lawton or OKC?

We are in Norman, but we climb at the Wichitas & take our boards along.
Right on, I might have seen you out there, on Mt Scott or the Zoo Wall. I have climbed there since 1989, bought my first gear from Duane Raliegh out of his apt in Norman. I went to OU too...
Wow, how cool that is. Yeah, I'll definitely drop you a line when we head out, we hang with some friends from Dallas...my old friend Jimmy Forester just died in Mexico, very sad. We are all heartbroken at his passing.
What are your favorite climbs there? Do you lead? I lead 5.8 in the Gunks on a good day, 5.6 on a scary day, but pretty much toprope in the Refuge, the rock is so old and chaucy, don't want to chance it. Jimmy did all the hard leads, now his girlfriend/widow Andrea is my rope gun. We will most likely just toprope stuff.
April ...

Sunday Sessions. 5:00 pm on Sundays - meet at the SW corner of the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman. Anyone interested can reply or just show up (weather permitting). Thanks, Shaun.
Where do you guys ride up there - any nice hills ?
not really... I just started skating in august and there's a couple mellow hills in town that were good to learn on. Me and my friend went driving the other day on the ice in his jeep and we found some nice looking hills outside of town a little bit, but i dunno what the pavement is like underneath all the ice.
hey im in fl most of the time but my uncle lives in jenks just out side of tulsa and there are some nice hills by him. and im talkin i havent ridden half of them cause theyre big and my skill level wasnt high enough. i was actually there a few weeks ago for a funereal but it was after the ice storm had covered everything so i couldnt bring any boards to ride.
ill be sure to let you guys know when im gonna be out there.
