Default Any Good Hills in St. Louis and Surrounding Areas?

Does anyone on here know of any decent hills, preferrably hills that are somewhat long and containing some turns, in or close to Southeast Missouri? All the local hills I use for DH are a half mile at the longest with no turns to speak of. I was thinking about making a trip up around St. Louis later this month to ride some decent hills, so it'd be great if I can get any info in advance.

So if anyone has some information they can contribute, just post the street name and city.

    -Thanks

I went to grad. school in St. Louis years ago. At the time I was out of the skateboarding loop, but I think ForestPark would be great with little traffic. Its almost the size of Central Park. I'd start up by Art Hill, (by the Art Museum). In 2004 they restored the park for the 100th Aniv. of the 1904 World's Fair so I'd think the roads would be real smooth. If you Map Quest the park is between Washington University and Kings Highway, (Central West End area). Some others who live in the area might have other suggestions of rural-hilly areas about 30 miles West of the City. Good luck. Beautiful aarea

I did a search of the posts under saint louis, and I see Bean-a Reano lives in the area, (across the river in IL). Under his profile the crew he rides with he names as STL Daggers.
You might want to PM him. After your St. Louis trip post/Pm me beacause I plan on visiting the area in the next year or so.

We do slalom in Tower Grove Park. Also ride DH in Babler State Park. All over south Missouri are nice hills, makes me jealous.

It is west of St. Louis. Not too far 30 minutes or so. Very nice place, some of the rangers don't like us, but there superiors let us ride. It's also full of deer. And we found a great slide hill. 8)

Well then I pity those in your geographical region. The longest hills 'round these here parts aren't more than half a mile or so, even out in the hilly countryside highways.
There are some gnarly hills in Eminence, about 4 hours from here in some direction from here.. can't remember... reeeeeeally steep and long. Not the smoothest though...

Indeed my hills suck for DH. Oh yeah I have been to Eminence several times. We stayed at the eminence canoe and resprt I think. Those are some sick hills, I wasn't longboarding back then so the thought of bombing them didn't cross my mind. You gotta be on the ball for those, trucks come out of nowhere in those corners. Absolutley sick hills.

Forest Park is actually bigger than Central Park, and the southern half should have enough hills to keep anybody busy, if they are a tad small. Also, avoid it on sunny saturday, you're more likely to get hit by a car then.
