Re: ND riders
I didn't know there was a board shop in grand forks, just discontent and i hate to say it but scheels... I was in colorado a few weeks ago and it was pretty sick, but all i can really find around here are a few hills by the river. I did see some guys with longboards and slidin gloves near dakota books/red pepper but i dont know if they're on here. I want to try out the new UND parking garage while it's still closed during the road construction, I dont know if they've got cameras tho...

Yeah, I push the drug machines and popsicles in the Discontent, but we have been serious about getting more longboard stuff in. We can order anything, as long as you stay patient. Better than going to scheels and getting a warped speed demons deck with the trucks mounted backwards....
As for the cameras in the UND parking ramp, just bomb the ramp, and stay moving. security cant get you if you move. Quick. Hell, I'll Special Ops. Covert bomb that thing with you...
Totally gnarly...

Re: ND riders
I am from Moorhead and I actually know the people who own discontent and dsk8. The stores aren't that great. In dsk8 they have probably a whopping 4 longboards? I'm friends with the owner's son and he doesn't know much about longboarding and he works there so I would probably advise to stay away from there if you are looking to buy decks at least. They do have some stuff there, but I never bothered to really check it out. I am actually in need to buy a board. Does anybody know a good place to buy quality boards for cheap? I was thinking of buying an Original complete. I heard that Original sells to McLaughlin's in Fargo. Has anybody been there?

I have never heard of Original nor McLaughlins. I do know that those guys don't know #### at Dsk8 because I asked how much their randals were and they said...we don't have randals (as i was pointing right at them).
have i met you before? Are you one of the guys that we ran in to at the moorhead garage?? well, if you are you guys should come skate with us again sometime.

Re: ND riders
nah it couldn't haev been me because I haven't owned a longboard yet since I haven't had the money. It could have been one of my friends though. He just bought a sector 9 and happened to want to go skating when he met up with some other guys and now shreds and does bible studies with these guys. Yeah anyway hopefully I can purchase my board on August 8th since I should have the money, then I'll be down for skating. btw, where are some good spots to skate in the fm area other than the parking garages near island park and what not?

If I had the money and the time. My board finally came in the mail like less than an hour ago so I'm ready to shred if anybody is down.

Re: ND riders
If anybody is down to shred, Tuesday at 7.00pm a lot of people will be skating starting at island park. From what I heard I think we have like 15 people so far. Join the party and bring friends!

Re: ND riders
I live in minot and there a number of good hills on roads in town, and there is a bike path to the west of minot with a huge hill.To get to that bike path, you can either go through town and get to 4th ave NW and follow it west out of town, the sidewalk turns to bike path.smooth asphalt. If you are coming from the east, take hwy 2 and 52 through town going west and turn north on the hwy 83 bypass and exit at 4th ave nw. There are a few longboarders in town, just very unorginized, but some of us are talking about starting an official club at Minot State University.Come to Minot if you want to see some pretty sick hills!

Re: ND riders
Is this thread dead? I just bought another board and I need to skate! Hey .Secrets, you should try getting Michael Ginsbach to get out and longboard this spring. I work with him and he says he lives a few houses away from you.
