Re: St. Louis Garages
The St.Louis longboard scene appears to be gathering steam. Led by Aggro Jo we
been hittin up the garages and having a little Sunday session in South County. We
have all levels of skaters/longboarders from, JBH (skater extroidanair) all the way to just beginning levels.
It's getting colder out there soon, but if your interested, Jo keeps this site pretty up to speed.
If you are intrested in Sunday's in South County PM me. Come join us!
Peace

Re: St. Louis Garages
I haven't skated a garage before but I'm up for anything. Anybody know of some good DH spots?

Re: St. Louis Garages
Been sick, busy, busy, sick, out of town, sick again, busy and REALLY busy lately, not necessarily in that order. Won't feel like riding garages anytime soon until I get caught back up. Then again, maybe by Saturday night I'll be so sick of catching up that I'll be ready and willing for a garage sesh or two. Post up here if you are going riding anywhere, people.
lourider, unless/until we meet somewhere else, I'm not gonna publicly post any DH spots. Nothing personal, just wanna make sure the good ones stay good for a good long time. Come to a garage session when it gets posted here, and/or come to Slalom St. Louis on Memorial Day weekend in Tower Grove Park and meet some of the O.G.'s, new G's and squee G's, and then we'll talk. Meantime, look for places with big hills.

That's understandable. If I'm free then I will try and make it to some. And I have met some of you at the park.

Re: St. Louis Garages
It's late notice but a friend and I are going to try and hit the garages this afternoon. If anyone wants to join us send me a message and I'll send details. First time in the StL garages so any tips would be appreciated.

Watchout for police, oil slicks, bums, gravel, potholes, assholes, and crack heads. I think that about covers it.

Re: St. Louis Garages
Hey guys, checkin in.
i didnt see a introduction section for st louis. so i guess ill do it here.
Live downtown STL. One block from my cafe. I own Bubba Tea & Cafe (10th and Lucust). BubbaTeaCafe.com
The other day i ran into couple of rad longboarders downtown. Couldnt hang out long at all, had to catch up with my 3 yr old. Is there some sort of roll call for st louis longboarders?

I think this thread is as close to a roll call as we get!
Weekend nights are usually the main times for get-togethers downtown, although recently (well, before the super cold set in last year) there were a few weeknight forays also--at least for garage riding. If you wanna get a few people together to do so, check or post up here.

Re: St. Louis Garages
I was at Fort Zumwalt Park earlier today. That's a pretty nice place. The hills they have are not very long but some do have a good slope on it. You can check it out on Google Street View, it's a couple blocks down from Wood and Wheels.

Re: St. Louis Garages
lourider & kleancut - cool to have some new longboard riders in the area. We
probably will hit the garages again soon, PM me for more on that. Also
sometimes we skate in a nice office park in Sunset Hills on Sunday afternoons, maybe
we can get that going again, now that it is warmer.
