Are you actually going to skate the whole way from bangkok to kl? i think as long a you're not in the middle of the road and not on highways the police won't give you problems. good luck, hope the roads on the way aren't crappy.

I would think other than the highway, there's not gonna be any decent roads to skate on

Ya. Perhaps use a stiffer board that is lower to the ground?

Anyone who knows anything about the roads? are the smaller ones any good? How are the Police against longboarding?
I will probably skate from Bangkok-Singapore, 3 months in Thailand and 3 in Malaysia and only a few days i Singapore.

    Mr Jim,

if you're going to be in msia during dec/jan a there will be a few longboarders (myself, cilibird, kulturkampf, lazurus, fendy, drumsticks) and a luger (furlong) around if you ever need some company

roads in malaysia tend to be pretty sucky. there are always potholes to watch out for. i live around petaling jaya. the roads are pretty busy most of the time and the sidewalks aren't very skate-able unless you're lucky and come across some new developments. skating through the city would be pretty intimidating, the malaysian traffic and pedestrians are hectic!

as for a push board, you'd want something low to the ground (easy to push) and as light as possible. definitely consider something dropped. like mentioned above, the demonseed might suit what you're looking for. also, check out landyatchz urban assualt/switch or rayne nemesis (demonseed might be abit too big to push around).

randals should do the job and get some massive flywheels to go over those cracks in the roads!!

good luck and give us a shout if when you're passing by malaysia!

Take a really low board with big wheels and come on over to skatefurther where there are some excellent people who can help you out and give you advice.
