Re: Beijing, China Downhill/Carving enthusiasts
I will be pasing through GZ via HK and Macao around 10 September. I was gonna hit Chengdu area and possibly JIUZHAGOU. If you see a foreigner riding a longboard, it just may be me. Not doing serious DH though. Want to use it for transportation and exploring. But some DH is inevitable in most of China. I am taking this board, which may look even more strange.

Kunming is a nice little town, well little by China standards. Perfect weather all year round and gateway to Dali in the North and Xieshuabana in the South. They have a nice wide bicycle lane which is used by electric scooters. You can't hear them coming!

Well, too bad i cant stay through December. That is really the best time to go IMO, at least for SW China. Old town Dali has nice pavement too but it has that moutnain misty rain a lot. If you ferry across that Ear Lake you have deserted lakeside mountain roads all to yourself.

sorry for the confusion. Its the greatwall area, mostly on the foot of the greatwall, not on the greatwall itself, but its cool to go carving/downhilling with the greatwall on the background.

Cool. I go to China every now and then. My parents are living there right now It's not the fact that it's coming from China that made me think it's a scam. There has been quite a few on silverfish in general. If you guys happen to go down to the Guangdong area in December, hit me up and we can go for a skate.
