What are the surface conditions of that road? We all know how the roads in the Philippines are like.
Go out, skate, and enjoy the ride.

haha, i know. this road though has been newly paved around 3-5 years ago. the last time i was there the roads were not complete but they are now. smooth asphalt with banked corners for most parts. roads were designed by korean engineers. i heard that the new roads are still mint so cant wait to check it out. this road is south of davao. if you go up north to mati or around the monkayo area, there are a few asphalt hills to be had with nice corners. just watch out for those crazy pinoy drivers. buses and trucks are real scary but you can skate it in a time of day where traffic is minimal.
jam, let us know when youre there and ill send you the contacts of my friends in davao if im not there by the time you get there.

roads are good aside from debris on the road. flushcut ha? i was gonna persuade you to go for the evo. it handles like no other. i still love my hellcat though and i still want to try the nemesis. i have some seismic and 3dm wheels coming so if anyone wants some for me to bring, just let me know.

If that is as good as it sounds like, I am not leaving the phil without hitting that.
How far a drive is it from like the davao airport and like all the beaches (excuse my lack of geographical knowledge)

i can guarantee that most sections are smooth but not sure if the entire road is still in the same condition since 2001. just had a word with my sister who just took that road and she says most of it is smooth and nice to skate on.
its at least 1.5 ours drive until you hit the hills with corners. on your way up from calinan there will be a nice straight steep roads with fishponds on both sides. youll know what i mean. great hill to hit some high speed or maybe just carve and slide down forever.
that road in malaysia looks real nice. more photos please.

Hey Neuros,
Aren't you the guy that bought my ex-team rider Jason's RB pegless luge? Do you have the long (53.5" with bumpers removed) or short (51.5" with bumpers removed) frame version?
As for the double rear setup, I like it since it gives me added traction in the rear, maneuverability, and also stability.
When you run double trucks (either front only, rear only, or both), they work together as a team, as long as you set them level with each other. I don't go by the school of thought where one set of wheels is raised and contacts the ground only in the turns. By having all sets of wheels in contact with the ground, it equalizes the weight distribution and minimizes wear, promoting longer wheel life. Also, when you run double trucks, you can significantly loosen them up, since the additional truck helps to stabilize the other so you don't get speed wobbles. By running them looser, it makes it easier to negotiate the turn without drifting wide and you're not fighting your trucks or your turning ability.
Also, by having an 8-wheel setup, if your front 4 wheels are wearing out real fast, you can always swap them to the rear and bring the rear wheels to the front. I don't like the fact that with a 6-wheel setup, you always had to split a set of wheels since they come in fours. Bearings come in eights. Trucks come in a pair (usually).
So there you have it. Hope this helps you.

Nach! The evo will bite on speed bumps here. its way too low. I even topmounted my flushcut. And i love it. getting into standup sliding it John Connor style! dahahahah! Luis rides a hellcat now. and he digs it. Absolutely loves it. I need to get google earth. I have some hills to show you down in Batangas.
ALSO
We might have our first race. Not outlaw, small cash prize. Not a really tech hill, not really fast either. just trying to get the people into dh racing. Maybe around 40kmh tops? Not sure yet haven't been there in a long time. Good for beginners.
Connor, July right? Can't wait to skate with all of yous. Lets throw a massive party when Nach and Connor get in!

ooooh, that race sounds nice. when and where will you have that. ill do my best to be there when it happens. i can bring a prize too if needed. maybe some seismic or 3dm wheels. best to have it mellow so first timers dont freak out. ill bring as many boards as i can so others can try.

Yeah, i'm seriously diggin it. too bad there ain't that many hills to ride around the city. next weekend we might go up to ilocos on a road trip and see what's happening there. But yeah Nach, that sounds great. We'll have like a trial race in two weekends then if all goes well, we'll get sponsors and more legit stuff and try to throw a begginer dh race with more prizes. hahaha. this first one though, i'm scared that the its going to be only our boys who are racing.
from what i know, luis hasn't gotten wheelbite on the bigzigs. i could be wrong though. he did fall the other night, and i thought it was cuz he drifted and locked up, but it could be bite. he runs stock yellow randal bushings on his tho.

best check if he gets bite as it can get really dangerous. i get with mine and a few other rayne decks get bite despite of the cut outs. they might have improved on it though.
nice that youre getting sponsored. ok lang yan kung your boys are the only ones. its a start. hopeully you can get into some mags like FHM and stuff. haha. that would be cool.
let me know how the trial goes. im sure it will be a blast.
