can you even skate in fukuoka? when i was visiting there, there was too much traffic, people or cars, the empty roads had bad pavement, and the roads were too narrow.
and you have to watch out for crazy drivers that speed in the one car roads.
i didnt really look for spots when i was there though. the only wide open space where i didnt see people was fukuoka tower, but the security might kick you out

not in the actual fukuoka prefecture... yeah too many cars. Im living in chikugo-shi, about and hour train ride away, where yes the roads are narrow and there are crazy drivers, but there is a road going up to a temple in the neighboring mountains that is not heavily trafficed and the pavement is descent. The road has 5 tight hair pins and about another 5 or 6 180s, and turns the whole way down ( 5 or so miles, dont know for sure, only hiked up/ road down the bottom 3) . It's really the only worth while run I've seen, but I've only been here a week. I was actually hoping for a skate park near by, I've researched it and couldn't find any on this island, but was hoping one was built since the sites I checked were updated.

ah i wish i was still in fukuoka, id skate it with you, get someone to spot you. Young drivers there don't seem to stop for pedestrians. Almost got hit once. Im sure there are some longboarders/skaters there, havent seen anyone though.
