the drop through holes aren't for trucks, they're for convenient wall hanging

Just commit, get down low and push it out. Don't be afraid to push the wheels out . The faster you go the easier it is actually, the slower you go, the more likely you are to get pitched off. I'm not saying go 35mph but a good amount of speed and its easy.

haha, I'd be flying if I got pitched off at 35, thanks for the advice though.

I have exact same setup as you. The dervish is my first longboard and I'm lovin it so far. Right now I'm mostly cruising and only bombed a couple hills. I'm in a kind of semi-flat area so I gotta get around a little to find a decent hill

Flex: Flex 1
Trucks: 10" Gullwing Chargers

Risers: 1/8 Khiro Shockpads as "lowerers/dampeners/tightners"
Wheels: Pink Powerballs 72mm 78a
Bearings: Biltin Bearings ABEC-7

Overall this is a great improvement over the previous setup. I really like the Chargers better over the RII180s. Well balanced, nicely built, great rebound (stock bushings), stable yet turny enough. Changed wheels and bearings to a more slideable and easy to maintain setup. Not having to deal deal with spacers and speedrings every time I want to try a new wheel is great. They seem slower than my previous bearings...dunno. I miss the plushiness and comfort of the Gumballs. Still don't feel like these are the perfect wheels for me. Thinking of getting some 84a Strikers. Deck is loosing grip fast, will need some gripjob soon.
