Default 150 or 180 mm on ceviche?

Loaded sells the new board ceviche with 150 mm. i was wondering if 180 mm pairs trucks would be possible and comfortable because im looking for more big carves.

If you want to do "big carves" , why on earth are you looking at the Ceviche in the first place? Makes no sense. Vanguard or Dervish would be a much better choice for that.

That's controlled more by wheelbase and the truck's pivot-axis.

oh to answer why the ceviche
i was looking for a loaded board or any board for that matter
that can slide carve and do manuals and shovits easily
because it has the nice tail and nose
and i dont like the tight turns that 150 mm give
i was looking at the lbl komodo but the wait time to receive is just too long
and i like the graphics on the ceviche better

I just want it b/c its new
And i like the old fish but hated the foam tail. I'm hoping this 1 is stiffer
anyways..... I'd put even smaller trucks then 150mm. I tend to kick the wheels when i was pushings a fish with randal 150. But i mean you can put any truck on the board. Its just kinda strange to put a 180mm truck on a board thats like 6 inches wide.(speculated dimension btw). But the parts you put on your board is PURELY your enjoyment and for your own comfort. AND there are people who will probably trade you 180mm hangers for 150mm hangers if you so decide to switch

IF you want "bigger" carves then don't go for a wheelbase that small. Wheelbase has much more to do with how a board turns than the size of the hangers.

Essentially what you're saying is you want to turn less. That's just silly. Get 150mm trucks, or hell even some RT-S / Bennet combo to make it fun. If you absolutely must use the Cerviche as a downhill carver, or whatever you're doing, then just get the smaller width trucks and, I dunno, turn less by leaning less. Don't inhibit your own ability to get out of the way of stuff because you want your board to 'carve bigger'.

    Straight from the Randal FAQ:

"When the axle angle is the same, the board turns on the same axis, regardless of hanger width."

Base you axle width on the width of the deck. If the width of the axle exceeds the width of the deck, you will have less leverage for turning. Meaning you will have to put forth more effort to turn sharper.

hmm. maybe a small sidewalk surfer isnt the type of board you are looking for. and, honestly, after riding the board for a while you forget it even has a graphic.
