    Default My first board

This is my first board(that i actually ride and like )
    specs:
    48in long
    9in wide
scrapwood from my dads shed(hes a carpender)

as you can see i had sidewinders on it but i now have Paris 180s. the board is kind of crooked lol I noticed it when i was putting on the grip-tape. the boards top is really messed up and thats why I made it full black grip. Tell me what you think about it and how I could improve. I thinking of making another one like this but i want to try and glass it and make the trucks drop through, and make the nose and tail go up alittle(sorry I dont know what thats called)lol
    Thanks in advance
    tyler

I couldn't give you any advice but just telling you the links for the pictures don't work. Otherwise I'd probably congratulate you on a job well done!

Try using photobucket or imageshack or something along those lines. You can follow the instructions and they will show up as pictures on the forums.

put the url of the actual image in the IMG brackets... not the web adress where the picture is located. It should end in .jpg or .bmp or something... not .html

EDIT: nevermind, you did that... ImageShack is just retarded. Use photobucket.

what does a chamber and a concave look like? does one have the edge of the board curve up and the other one curve down?

Camber is the arch of the board over its length. This is a picture of a camber only deck:

Concave is curve of the board across its width. This is concave:

    Got it?

sounds like your wood was warped. I would strongly recommend that you inspect your wood before you buy it, as to get the peice with the least amount of footballs and knots and warping. takes a good eye but it will develop with time.
