Hi guys,
I built a few boards so far.
- 1 46"x8" (3 x 1/4"BB) ( my cruiser )
- 1 37"x8" (3 x 1/4"BB) ( my speedboard )
- 2 26"x8" ( 2 x 1/4"BB) ( kids' boards )
- 1 28"x9 1/2" ( 2 x 1/4BB") ( 28 originals derringer "wide body" look alike )
so, I kind of know what needs to be done and what not.
Problem is: I'm stuck with the 1/4" BB. I can't find ( and I just bought a new sheet 4'x8' 1/4" BB) any thinner here!
so, all these boards are great ( for me ), but I'm missing a flex board. ... the pumping so far has been none existing.
so, question here is: can I ( 5'10, 165 pounds ) make myself a board ( Yes, I know I can) that provides me with some kind of flex ( like the loaded ones ) with just using 1/4" ?
I know that the shape, the WB and the thickness make the board less/more flex ( if just talking about the BB).
any of you guys successfully built a "flex" board with 1/4" BB?
if so, modeled after which board or at least: some dimensions?
I'm looking at the sector 9 sidewinder shape... or something similar
main objective is to have a carving board with enough flex for pumping (if that is not contradictory )....
please advice..
