    Default Help building a dancer.

    Hi everyone,
I am thinking about building a dancer.
    I was thinking 48", with about a 44" wheelbase.
I would probably add some camber, but no concave.
I was thinking 5 plys of BB, and maybe fiberglass.
    Any tips or advice?
    PS:
This is what that part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

Just built one 48" long 35" wb, its a manualing dream. What thickness BB are you gonna use? depending on your weight and desired flex 5 sheets BB and fiberglass may be overkill. and i think dancers are best flat but its your board so do what you want

You can't have a 44" WB with a 48" board. And with my recent experiences, don't go with too much camber. At least in my opinion, you don't want a dancer to have a snappy flex, which is what camber will give you.

    Why not? I have a 57" board with a 55"-ish WB.

Wheelbase is measured from inner bolt hole to inner bolt hole, at least when discussing the board itself, so for you to build a 48" board AND have a 44" wheelbase the trucks would have to hang over by 1/8 or 1/2 and not have outer mounting holes.

Hmmm... always thought it was measured from contact patch to contact patch on the wheels. My bad.

    Ok thanks guys,

Does a 4 ply 1/8" baltic birch, 48" with about 42" WB, flat sound good?
