Re: Pics of the pescadero
Hahaha awesome. You should be able to do some cool stuff with graphics/grip tape
Curious how long it'll be before it breaks. I wouldn't want to ride it for fear of damaging it
In terms of trucks, most people go with Randal or Paris 180mm
However, I have a pair of Gullwing Chargers (10'') that were stock on the S9 board that I had. The mounting holes are not the same as Randal. All my boards have Randal mounting holes so the Chargers are useless.
Well done doing that in your dorm room. I really hope it doesn't break on you

Re: Pics of the pescadero
thanks guys. im plannin on using a marble thats seated in the deck as an eye. Or a carriage bolt i cant decide. Ive drilled the holes that line up with the gullwing trucks, will these trucks line up and work out?

Depending on how this board holds up, im gonna be making one for my little brother for christmas thatll be a similar design. The wood i use and trucks i use are all up in the air, depends on how this guy holds up.
I have an idea as to how to run an aluminum stringer through the board so i might do that on the next board.

Re: Pics of the pescadero
Haha that looks so excellent, well done dude.
But I'd watch out with the 180's with the board so narrow, it might be a tad sluggish and youd probally end up mashing over your feet for the first few days. Might check out the 150's, (I'm more partial towards the paris's) they'd give you a more agile ride and give you a little more leverage. Or maybe even some thinner Bennetts, thatd be noice.

Re: Pics of the pescadero
where are trucks measured? Ends of the threaded bolts or before where the wheels are mounted? I have a set of gullwings off my sector 9 and i think they look alittle narrow for the board, so if i knew where to measure i could compare ya know?
Id like a wider stance, as far as wheels go? what do you guys recommend? 70mm?

He said the board was 10'' at widest. That's really wide
I think 150s might need even bigger wheel wells
But anyway, yeah, I'd say 70mm wheels would be good. That's also a preference thing though

Re: Pics of the pescadero
Im getting the revenge alpha 2's and then i cant decide on a wheel. gravity burner 66mm or 70mm!?
-
Re: Pics of the pescadero
I had an old pair of Revenges with some 65mm krypto's and it was hella fun. Persoanlly I'd go with the 66mm, but the Revenges do have that little metal insert to prevent wheelbite, which for the most part works really well... untill you bring low curbs and speed into the equation. Then your SOL. If your looking for good proportions, go with the 66's, but nothings stopping your from the 70's.

That's pretty cool! The quality is so good, it does't look like a homemade board.
