that is super bella! rad shape! Do you ride it? i got get some of that Mangaris Wood, what country does it come from it wonder?

I haven't ridden it yet, it's not finished. It has a few spots along the edges that I had to fill, so, yesterday I layed down some strips to hide the bad spots. Next I will give it a few coats of varnish so that glassy glow will come back.

like i said, i'm most likely not going to ride this board, but theres actually a small possility that i just may like it, so i'm taking as much as can into account! i also was wondering what woods were compatible.
my current specs for the joint blank would be 2.5" light colored wood, 2.5" dark wood, 1" light, 2.5" dark, 2.5" light.

what would you rccomend as the thickness?

ok thats REALLY retarded! my wood teacher let me make a fricking SNOWBOARD in wood shop! and it was only like 5%wood! but what you could do is design it so you can use it if u wanted to, but then never mount the trucks and stuff... personally i have to say that 1/2 of the stuff that comes out of the wood shop at my school is art, the other 1/2 is usable stuff, like book shelves and stuff. but yeah.. just design it so you could use it if you ever wanted to! ^_^

"for it to even be rideable, you'd have to laminate it, and we do have any space for that!"

my brother whohad him last year told me just to get the regular joinery project out of the way, and just make one, so i dont need his help...

that looks sweet, i kinda want to make one out of a purple heart and zebra wood planks, re sawed down into 1/16" panels. it would look sweet then if you routed out a dish shape on the bottom.

I like to use Cherry and hard maple. they both blend together great and they dont cost to much. about 3$ a board foot where i live
