    Default indo board

Ive lately found myself using my dads indo board a lot but dont have the cash to buy my own. i wanna build one but i dont know how to go about doing it. i guess i could just press plys together as the board but i have no idea what to do for the barrel thing.thanks for the advice in advance.
P.S. i dont want to buy too much stuff and i dont have too much stuff. i only wanna buy basic stuff i can get at home depot (not including the wood that is).

you can get a 4" diameter section of PVC pipe in like a 2ft. length at home depot etc.. It'll cost only like 4 or 5 bucks and does the job perfectly. For the deck i usually just use an old trick deck with some 8" wide 1x2 sections screwed through the outermost bolt holes.

I would use sand, wouldn't want it to spill.

Unfortunately you cant get anything 5 inches or above in less than 18 foot lengths which is alot of money. If anybody knows where to get some in Md that would be sweet

If your talking about the PVC part of this build then try a little creative negotiation. Either hang at the Depot until someone buys and cuts this width of PVC and ask for the trimmings, or find your local plumber and ask him to buy a section of pipe that he has lying around.

Alternatively, the junk yard is always home to cylindrical objects of many types. Also, you can dumpster dive the Depot or a Plumbing supply or just give somebody your number and have them call you when they have the scrap.

    Best of luck.

I have built a few indo boards in the past. i usually use 3/4" birch plywood(that is if you want the traditional flat oval shaped board). As for the roller i use green(seems to be pvc never really looked) septic pipe. In NJ you can find it all over the place just go to job sites and take some scrap. I was lucky enough that my apartment complex was renovating its septic and i took 8' of 8" Dia. and 8' of 5" Dia. pipe. Than just put strips of grip tape on the pipe and your good to go. Hope this helps

Walmart is selling Ocean Pacific shortboards for 9 bucks on Clearance here... I must admit, a few of the design are pretty badass.

Screw blocks of wood to the deck up near the point where the nose/tails start to bend.

2 liter bottle wrapped in duct tape, like benmasters said.
