    Default chopping up a skateboard..?

well i have this zoo york skateboard i beleive its 30 inches or so long and 7.5 inchs wide.

since this deck has no use to me.. should i cut it up and make a cool mini from it? its really stiff with a good bit of concave. any suggestions on how i should cut it?

    Search Schlongboards.

i cut mine up like an ol skool fishtail minicruiser. But the main thing is to use ur imagination.

Cut some wells or you'll bite. 'specially with reverse kingpin trucks.

Also dewedge straight kingpin trucks, to turn better. (Pic isn't dewedged at all, only wedge from kicks.)

Adding ~10" of wheelbase sure gave this old deck a whole load of flex.

Correction, search "shlongboards". As in "short-long board", not "reproductive-organ board".

If you go the shlong route, you'll find mounting conventional trucks on the kicks works well. Using low degree bp reverse kingpin trucks works too; I have gullwing bombers on mine. Keeping to these setups makes for a lowered platform, which is nice.

But since your deck is rather narrow, a mini would be cool too.

Also remember to remove grip tape when cutting out wheel wells. I neglected to do this and it ruined the blade on my jigsaw

I did that so my cousin could ride something. It's not a bad idea to install a stringer in that setup.
