I am planning on making a wooden press for v-lamming bamboo.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
The camber is adjustable by raising and lowering the ribs, which the pivots also provide for.
The camber in the pics is exaggerated so you can see what I'm taking about.
I will obviously also have clamps width ways between the ribs, as it is a v-lam press.
Any suggestions on how much concave and camber I would want for v-lamming? Is it a 1 to 1 ratio? What you press into a v-lam, is what you get out?
I was going for 25mm (1") concave over the 400mm (16") rib, which would result in a 10mm (1/2") concave for a 250mm (10") wide board .
I'm not sure how much camber at this point. Any suggestions?
This press is 2m long and the rib distances apart can also be adjusted too.
Cheers.

I would go with 1/2" concave since the 1" is way to deep. I have built few boards with maximum concave up to 1/2". It is better for a 10" wide board.
