Cool BUILDING: 28" mini. 7" across.

k im gonna build a mini, kind of like the sec9 bambino, but im gonna make it our of 2 1/4 inch birch ply pieces. (toothless.tk style) will i need to make the bend with the weights so it goes up in the middle and when you stand on it it flattens out?
oh and i was thinking that i may be able to make a kicktail without a press or vac bag, i was thinking to put the board on a table and have the end hanging off. then load some weights and books and stuff on the part thats on the table, and the hang some weights from the back while the board is glueing so itll bend and make a kicktail

I would seriously recommend doing the DIMM press or make a vacuum/buy the roarockit kit if you want a kick tail. It might seem hard to do it, but i just finished my first mold for a 50" dancer with a 1/2" kick tail over 5"s, with 1/2 of concave. It was RIDICULOUSLY easy to do this. All I used was a ruler and a surfoam to get smooth foam. I though about the toothless way, but after a lot of thinking, i went with this. It just seems more reliable for me, i was worried about it not working out, but this way makes me feel much more at ease.

Unhappy Re: BUILDING: 28" mini. 7" across.

Ok. I heard vac bags are quite expensive and I have no room for a press.

grab the roarockit it dont take any space. plus if you want to make a different deck just make a new mold they dont take much room either. a press is a little bigger though.
