    Default flexy schlongboardish design concept

The board i've found myself riding mostly is a home-made landy allstar-ripoff. It's about 72 cm long (28 inches) and has randals mounted on the tips. I like it becouse it's light, flexy, small and turns like crazy. However, there are some downsides: it isn't very stable and it doesn't go too well with my snowboardish stance. This is an attempt at evolving the concept of the old board into something better.

Im thinking about laminating birch and fibreglass into a W-shaped camber and cut it to a shape similar to those of the freeboards, about 80cm long. I want that shape and the "W-camber" so that i have a lot of space for my feet, and so that i can widen my stance, stand close to the trucks, crouch down and take some speed, but also be able to pump and carve nicely by standing with my feet more centered and enyoying the flex.

My trucks of choice rught now would be uptrucks, becouse they are light, not very wobbly, pretty wide, and becouse they have nice anti-wheelbite devices (wich might come in handy, as you might understand by loking at my concept below).

Do you thinnk this is a good idea that would get me closer to the perfect allround/city cruiser board?

i like it, i just don't see how "w camber" would be more effective that rocker, when rocker would probably be lees of a pain in the butt

I'm trying to create two tight spots close to the trucks where i can lock my feet in...and at the same time have a camber in the middle for carving and pumping.

I'm sorry man, the design was very cool.

So I MAY have used a little of it in the board I just made. Just a little though ><

The w-concave (tri concave, whatever you want to call it) is sick and feels good on your feet, but be prepared to have a POWERFUL press to get it, especially if you are using birch and not 1/16 maple. I like the w-concave on my speedboard, but rocker is the **** for commuter boards, it gives a similar locked in feel, but is so much easier.
Sick shape and well rendered design.

or, the easy way out is to simply press concave and laminate a strip down the middle to get the center rise.. you can determine how much rise you want by sanding the middle strip..

    but lettuce, he wants w-CAMBER

    Rocker is still the ****.
