Reshaping an old board.
well i was thinking of reshaping my first board. now that i look at it, it seems a bit uneven on the sides, not even layer of paint, a bit wide.
anyways i drew up a template based on the gravity 42" minicarve. But before i can change reshape i have to remove some paint and sand it. I was just wondering how to remove three layers of glossed black paint. Should i use a scraper, or wil this damage the wood? or should i sand?
p.s. i dont have a belt sander

oo0o.. yeah borrow or get a sander... nothing else would do it without harming the wood.
you might want to be really careful with the sander, it could take off wood also....

paint stripper will damage the board and everything it comes in contact with, seeing that it was made for metal.
