two more boards
So i was bored and decided to make some boards. I made them at the same time. The first is a pintail shaped like a fibreflex with indys and kryptos. It is 3 layers of 1/4 birch, and is very stiff since its only 38"(and heavy). With 2" of camber, the board is also really high off the ground. So then i made another board thats 28" x 8", with only 2 layers of 1/4 birch, and its really light and flexy. Even with its inch of camber, when i stand on it(i weigh about 140) it goes about 2" past flat. The best thing about it is the trucks, original S8's and this thing is so fun. I feel like i can turn 2 foot circles lol. Very fun.

if the board sinks that deep when you stand on it, then it will sink deeper in turns right, this will effectively wedge the trucks out more and more as you turn making it turn tighter and tighter, that on top of the s8's will make for a sick turnining board man nice paint too

Those are really nice, way to match the stripes with the wheels, that pintail turned out super, but yeah with 3/4" of wood, two inches of camber is a bunch

well today, after many different setups on my mini, it broke. I had randal 180's and skyhooks on it, jumped off a three stair (duhh...) and it snapped when I landed on it. It lasted me longer than I thought though, and im going to make another one exactly the same (but maybe with like an aluminum stringer or something) I shouldve known it was going to break with skyhooks (also homemade), as it was super flexy.

how about a 1/4 birch core with fiberglass and ash, maybe like 2 plies of furniture-grade ash on either side. Then you can make it super flexy and you won't have to replace it every week.
