i was wondering how that worked actually. anybody ever built a home made bamboo board? are they made from strips of bamboo? or is it bamboo glued onto some plywood?

i have placed an order for this one mainly to try it out and to get more information about it, it is for free though, used my sister's credit card. hahahaha, it is $50. just for the deck.

maybe that is why i asked, industrial, they have done some, but home-made, we will have to see, maybe january, it will be finished.

btw, there is a history of the bambooboards.com people which i've since learned of and the guy who developed their products from a source in hawaii.

processed bamboo is pretty much strips of the culm assembled as such and there are boards composed of a bamboo plywood, check out fatboy.

mine are bamboo with variations of foam/carbon/glass combinations. i've made hollow ones too.

that is glass or plastic compound. verital fibers of bamboo, bound to a ply board. that will become the raw material to build a board, still mixing things up to come up with a solution for the bind (laminate) to carry me, i'mpretty heavy though
