building contest: keepin it a secret yall?

I was gonna, or am, enter a board into the contest for fun and good criticism, not planning on winning considering its my second.

is everybody else keepin their boards a secret until the day? ive never done one of these, so I wasnt sure how it ran usually.

most people keep it a secret till the posting days,

but myself i just dont think i have the time to do one this time, but i already said if i did it was just gonna be a simple pintail for the holeys, but i give it mabey a 15% chance i might get a board done for the contest, all depends on how things go today

my dad is always asking me why my boards have to be so "complicated" because the way he used to do it is exactly ^, except without the paint and rollerskate wheels.

It's not about winning it's about having fun and building. I'm surprised no one has entered a 2x4 yet. With a good enuff finish who knows how it would fair.

yea, as said above ive got one done, but it aint all that great. i dont think ill have time to get all my press issues figured out before, but I guess i could do another the toothless pressles way

give loki a 2x4 of soft wood, a roller skate or two, and access to a home-depot paint section and he'll find someway to land himself in the top 3. ARG!! lol, hope to see you entry Tomkat.. good luck.

When is post time for the contest? I haven't even started yet. I have a friend who wants a board, so if I get a chance to finish it I'll enter his. I did come up with a cool graphic for it.

Talking of the 2x4 reminded me of Logboard. Now that was an entry.

in other terms i just picked up $150cnd in wood (about 9 to 10 boards worth)

now just need to get my other crap in gear, such as making a foam cutter

By the way does the board have to be a complete deck: trucks and all to be entered in the contest?

scary tip... my board is being created in the adavanced chem 2 lab at my college. Ready or not... here we come! Boondock Longboards is going to hopefully make a nice entry into the world of board building.
