    Default S camber

    im planning on building a V lam slalom board with S camber
    i have never done s camber and i would appreciate any tips rather than just guess work
    thanks

    sounds like quite an undertaking. S camber takes a lot of planning because you can't have too much or too little, plus you need to work out what goes where etc.

    I'm not sure if you can do it a vlam? The angles are kinda extreme. Then again I've never made a vlam.

    Its tricky because its an s-camber for a reason. The curves are supposed to be working for the rider. Trying to figure out angles, the why and how. Make sure you think it out and have a solid design down before you start building. Make sure you mold is real square. If any of it is off your scamber will be pretty cool looking trash.

    Here's the furtrapper, a board we made for team rider Patrick Switzer.. eveeer so slight camber.. and we tried to keep the middle point of the wave 3/5's of the length forward but it doesn't always work as planned. For this board Aviv used a vacum press to laminate with a concave mold, and used weights and dowels to bend the board to shape.
