    Default New Board

So I just got done laminating some plies. I used 1 1/4" and 2 1/8" baltic birch plies, all grains length wise. I picked up some of the 1/8" and had a piece of the 1/4" lying around. The board is going to be a flat pin. Around 37" X 8.75"
I used tite bond II to glue. This a Christmas present for my neice and she is a hair above 100lbs. I am thinking the flex will be medium to stiff. Am I close? Any critisism? Wheelbase around 25".

Sounds nice man. I think it may be very stiff. I think most boards with flex seem to be about 15mm or thinner and made from 10 or more thin ply. I've made one that size before from 1/2" plywood that had about 6 layers and that was stiff as hell. I'm not sure if the wood I used made a difference. Let us know how it rides..

The board I just made was two 5-ply 1/4" baltic birch sheets, put together with epoxy resin and a sheet of fiberglass in the middle. It was stiffer than I thought it would be, it had some flex but wasn't as bouncy as I'd hoped. It was only 31 inches though so you have a little bigger wheelbase I'm sure, that will help some. I thought I read on here that titebond creates stiffer boards than epoxy, I don't know if that's true or not though. I can't imagine she needs a super flexy board anyway, it will probably ride really well for her.
