ahh yeah it's got a tiny bit of concave and a bout an inch of camber... something i need to work on is better concave.. I just use the scarp wood and clamp method.. so it's a different set-up for every board.
ill have to search a bit on how the sand deal works, what works best, etc

if the graphic is on top id say leave the strip plus a little past it uncovered so you have an outlined strip running down the middle
All the clear grip ive ever ridden dont seem to grip as well, but if that doesnt matter to you then it would definately look awesome with clear.

With good baltic birch the wood alternates one straight one cross grained ply already, so by you rotating one of your 1/4" sheets I don't think it affects the board much!

Interesting use of repetition. The stain is a little bit to dark brown for my taste, especially contrasting with the natural tone of the birch.
The shape is pretty sweet, a bit wide.
Nice execution though. What are the dimensions?

I'm with Mox, sweet lookin board Afro, very nice.
I love the dark stain you got going there, and the rep graphics....all around pretty sweet.
I reckon go with clear gripping it with sand in a varnish/ urethane/ clearcoat or whatever you choose, I think there is a post in boardbuilding recently, by Loki440 about clear grip and some good answers and solutions there.
I used regular fine clean white beach sand for my first board, http://www.silverfishlongboarding.co...82ecd75f6a8593
It worked pretty good and the grip works a treat, rode th board in a sketchy rough ditch the other day and it works well.
Another, and probably better option is to find a boating and marine store, and get some non skid additive for decking. This is all uniform in size, gives a nice even finish and grips well.
Let us know what you do and post the pics!
Ggood job though and post the dimensions if you can.
Thanks
Nepps

picked up some no slip compound, put a layer of varathane down then sprinkled it on, I waited to long and the varathane had set too much so most of the no slip will fall off, I need to put on a pretty decent coat... hopefully it all turns out.
