    Default How much camber?

    I'm building a 53" 5/8" thick baltic board with 41" wheelbase.

How much camber should I bend into this stick? Is there a range I should consider?

    Thanks

    Default type of wood?

well one big problem is, are you starting out with 5/8th thick wood or are you laminating ply's together to make 5/8th thick wood. unless you own some crazy expensive multiton steam press, there aren't too many good ways to reshape a 5/8th sheet at home. You can soak it for days and clamp the heck out of it, you'll only get a very slight curve and substantially reduce the longevity of the wood in the process. however, if you are using multipe thin pieces laminated to 5/8th, you have a good shot-

simply try to give it enough concave that when you stand on the middle it becomes flat. thats most people's favorite way. you can just guess this by pressing it with scrap wood of an arbitrary thickness, or you can put it on paint cans where the trucks would be and put the equivalent of your body weight on it. check toothless's website, he's got good tutorials on this.
