    Default snurfer

So i found an old snurfer in my house. For those of you who don't know what a snurfer is heres what one looks like http://neovox.cortland.edu/stadium/s...tadium_20.html The only thing is the bottom ripped off so it wouldn't go anywhere in the snow. So what i did was I put three coats of fiber glass on the bottom so it would be smooth again. Since it hasn't snowed here in New Jersey since before December I was thinking of making it into a longboard. The thing is, its v shaped in the back so it will have a tail of 4-6 inches. and there are stapels on top of the board for grip. Do you think its a good idea or should I just wait for it to snow again?

I would save it and not alter it at all, but then again, i have a soft spot for snowboarding history.

Wait for snow. If you end up not liking the novelty of the retro snowboard, hang it on the wall to show it off. That's a piece of history. Even though it would be a sweet board, there are plenty of other much better boards to be built and bought out there.

    But that's just me.

If it is one of the old ones from when I was a kid I'd sell it on Ebay.

Yea but I can't sell it because i Like it for one and its missing the rope and i put 3 coats of fiber glass on it. I dont think it would sell for much. It looks just like the one in the ad

I think it was vanier. It peeled right off it was yellow. I think it will make a good snow board I'm just pissed that it hasn't snowed. And I want a longboard but i dont have any money so i figured i would make one. But i too want to save this great peice of history.

yeah the guy just told me about, so that really tells me not much other than it was wood. it doesnt seem like balsa would work. at all.
