Believe me I've been searching a-plenty on all the other posts but it hasn't been enough to make me feel confident on what I want to use.

what should I use for a 60" by 8.75 w/ 42" wheelbase
(sorry LBL its a free country)

I only weigh 135 so... what would be the right thickness to use if I want a decent flex, but not as springy as the one adam rides.

3/4"?

2x 1/4"?

5/8"?

any other suggestions or anything you have used would help. thanks.

also i'm a little confused about plys, 13 ply could be 1/2" or 3/4" right?... isnt the thickness more important than the amount of plys? what is the ply-to -thickness strength ratio?

I'd go with 5/8, but I like 'em flexy.

Since no one is answering your question, I'll offer you guesses.

If you are using baltic birch go with 5/8" at least, 3/4" would be safe for your 135lbs. Of course I have never made a deck without laminating it myself.

Then again, 60" is a long ways. Just go 3/4" if you dont want it too flexy.

In my experience, the amount of plys are usually more important than the thickness. Go ten or more if you are using the birch. I think you are right, 3/4" comes in 13ply.

I used 5/8ths on mine and I weigh 175. its flexy, but not unrideable. camber and concave.

yeah, super bowl isnt all that great this time, was a sweet reverse/flea flicker thing that the steelers did.

is it me or do the refs really suck?
