NC builders, The Hardwood Store of North Carolina

they sell 1/8" baltic birch, but it's really close to 1/16" since most wood sizes run down. i got 2 5x5 sheets for 50 bucks. they also sell exotic veneer. i bet i could get them to order some maple in thinner sizes.

One for the Charlotte, NC folks. Wurth Wood Group. I got 2 sheets of 5'x5' 1/8" baltic birch for less than $30. They are also super helpful, and very, very nice. They are also the only place I have found in the area that sells baltic birch in skateboard sizes.

I thought all the bb that's out there in sheets was plywood. But if you mean am I sure it's baltic and not regular, then yes, I'm sure.

Since the southern portion of VA hasn't been represented yet:

    Yukon Lumber Co.
    520 West 22nd Sreet
    Norfolk, VA 23517
    Welcome to YUKON LUMBER COMPANY

They offer a 5x5 of 1/8" BB for $22.30. If anyone knows of a cheaper source, I'd love to hear it.

I'll also go ahead and post the address of a free wood supplier for the HR area.

    Fleet Imports
    4016 Seaboard Court
    Portsmouth, VA 23701
    (757)465-9720

It's not wood that you'd use to make boards, but it can be used for a ton of other things (i.e: presses and racks!)

There are even 12" threaded rods (complete w/ nuts and washers) for the taking. Constant updated supply of scrap wood.

    Average dimensions: 4"x4"x60"

He wasn't referring to you. He was referring to an actual spammer. His account was deleted so you cannot see the post that he was referring to. Check the quote in cabbageboy's post and you'll see.

somebody needs to consolidate all the "where to get wood" threads and organize the companies by country/state and make it a sticky.

If anyone in Adams County, Colorado needs to find anything, Paxton Lumber in Commerce City has always had some 1/8 in. thick 5' x 5' sheets of nice Baltic.
