need help with graphic
so im thinking about getting a dervish board, but I ABSOLUTELY hate the graphic. I was thinking of going to kinkos and blowing up a picture and then some how pasting that pic onto the bottom of the board. But i also want the feel of a coated board as if it was just bought. any idea on how to do that?
THANKS
EDIT: Im going to be sanding the whole bottom of the board

Print a graphic on rice paper and epoxy it on to your board.
glue stick is a dumb response.

Re: need help with graphic
Contrast is key to rice paper. Do you plan on using a few or a lot of colors, and do you plan on painting the board a color prior to the graphic you plan to Epox on?

Re: need help with graphic
i plan on using like about...4 colors, brown, VERY LITTLE black, very little blue and very little grey and very little white. the majority of the colors will be brown. and it will only be this, no painting on the board

Re: need help with graphic
Sand, start with 80 work your way down to 400
design, as bombsies stated, rice paper is choice
epoxy
clear coat, use poly urethane
lacquer, one coat, sand with 400, another coat, sand with 400, etc.

im guessing epoxy should dry first, then the clear coat then dry, then lacquer and no sanding.

No, sanding with 400+ will help with the lacquer finish. just don't use any grit under 400

Re: need help with graphic
yea and most single sheets of 400 + sand paper are wet/dry types...meant for such a job....i guess makes it easier for more coats
