Default Doubting strength of wood... take a look

I'm doubting the strength of the wood I have, I did like one or two failed old school kickflips, and this happened:

Basically it's the top ply that kinda peeeled off... I have always thought the outer layers seemed kinda soft... I don't really care about it as it doesnt affect anything, if anything it makes the deck look ''core'' ridden

    So?

chips happen, you should be fine to ride, btw at some point in there lifes all my dancers have gotten chips in them, not that big, mabey half the size, and in different places, but thats what happens when you ride them hard

and need better pictures to really know

oh yeah man, very normal if the sides of the board are getting hit. i had a one by two inch chunk taken out of mine the other day cause it got tboned by another.. the kingpin of the other board hit it... anyway, yea it happens, just glue the peices back togather if its real bad and if not then keep riddin and thrashin up the board, thats what they are made fore

I get so much eyes from riding it, I love the deck! Everything is so easy, all kinds of variations, toe side cross steps backwards (facing the tail) piruettes, shuvits, I'm better at tail manuals... Anywho as I was crusing in the schoolyard, doing a shanker to remove the stick that tried to hang onto my truck, younger kids came and were like WOW thats so big can I try it? I'm like yeah and they ask if I can do any tricks and I did a shuvit and they were like ZOMG... Then they tried it and one of them managed to lift the deck on the tail just a tenth of a second and their like YESS LOOK I DID IT! Now they are all stoked to get longboards :P They asked were I bought it and I said I made it and they couldn't believe it (hah)
