Mahogany and Oak?

Im looking for a board with good flex and good carve. Oak and Mahog are the two I can get for free. Will these work well?

Mahogany is great..light and flexy..Oak is stiff and heavy. The are both good to use, deprmding on the length you want, and the thickness you can get.

Im gonna do a pair: A dancer and A mini, both with the same graphics, scaled down, and made of the same wood. I feel like im gonna use the mahog.

Good choice! I made several back in the 70's of both the se woods..The Mahogany, is soo easy to work, and beautiful.

you know, your a lucky man to say that you skated before skating was cool.

Thats pretty cool though. Ive been looking at some boards people made with mahogany, and they are absoulutely beautiful!
