Re: Help me get into board building
if you've never done woodwork before, here's a suggestion - get some cheap plywood or even scraps from a building site and make a bunch of boards. You will undoubtedly screw up the first couple you make, so why pay a lot for it? Not that I doubt your abilities, but you'll finish the first one and think to yourself, "Oh, I shoulda made it this size, or I shoulda done the wheelwells before the roundover, or this shape is too narrow in the tail."
Then when you get a shape you like at a length/width you like, and you have an idea what order to do things in, you can make something that you'll wanna keep. I know it sounds a little Karate Kid-ish, but it's what usually happens.
Oh, and thirded on the Roarockit! That will take you to the next level. And if you wanna experiment with fibreglass and such, Ted's bag is the way to go!
Hey Ted - you should use that in your advertising!
"You should see what I can do with my bag"
"My bag is just what you need"
"Thousands of happy people love my bag"
"See what my bag can do for you"
"Behind all good wood is a great bag"
"My bag will make your wood happy"
