Another 'Drop through template' thread

Hi all,

Seen as the only drop through template that seems available is the R II, why not try to get one together that will take some of the most common trucks.

I have the R II template, also the Randal Comp series.
Does anyone else have any around? I'm especially looking for a holey template, also crails, bears.... I have some chargers so I can make a template for these.

On my Landyachtz drop wedge (last years model) it has a real good looking template. Does anyone know what trucks will fit in there? I know Randals do.

Once or if I get hold of a few templates I'll try to mix them together to fit all the trucks.

So come on guys, lets try get a template together that people can use.

Come on guys, 61 views and no one wants to say anything.

-I'd like to know if holey will fit in the last years model drop wedge?
Also I would think that the bears would fit the drop wedge, as both are made by the same company. Though I'm not sure.

-Once I know that I should be able to make a template that will fit the following:

*Randal R II
*Randal Comp Series
*Chargers
*Bears
*Holeys??
*Crails anyone??????

Lats 2 need some input from others

I think it was about time that a template was available that everyone can use.

paris in there? check out the dervish new cutout it looks like it has room for alot of different trucks

Maybe we should try get a 'speedboard template' and a 'other template'.

Because Paris Trucks aren't used much in DH. And the Randal comp series aren't really used for just cruising around?

So 2 different templates. one for speed board trucks, and another for anything else?

ya that is a good idea, I'll be making a template specifically for paris soon (if i ever get around to making my dervish type cruiser) i'll post it when i have it

1.ok get a piece of paper a square/protractor and a ruler in mms.
2.take the randal one on here and glue it to a piece of ply. drill you holes for your botls holes.
3.then from the centre of the inside bolt holes extend an extra 4mm. so from bolt hole to cut line it 13mm so its 1/2 inch there abouts.
4.from front bolt hole the randal pattern has 22 mm extend that another 3mm. leave a big rectangle with right angle corners, thats your main body done now.
5. draw 2 lines parallel on each side 10mm on the outide.
6. now measure 9mm in from each bolt hole and draw down towards main cut out.

this should work for everything. its copied from my clb i havent had a chance to use it each but it should work. it should look something like this leave the corner square and if you use a 8mm flush cutter or bushing it will round out the corner. just test your pattern 1st and alter it before doing your board.

It realy is quite simple.. Use your noggin. The main thing is to have your mounting holes drill first, then outline your cut out and make sure there is plenty of meat left around them. Patience and accuracy in cutting out the void..

hi i have a set of urban blue longboard trucks and want to make a drop through template or buy one if there is such a thing can anyone let me know how to make one or where to buy one
