 first build (hack-up) brainstorming
i've been thinking (OH NO!) and i might want to either. make a schlong, or hack up my old s9 joel tudor. i might mount some trucks on the tail of the s9, and hack it up to look sweet, or some thing i don't know, that what im making this thread. i might hack the s9 because it will be cheaper to do, but the schlong would just be bad ass. so lets hear your suggestions all of you board building gurus

im not asking, im brain storming.. and if you guys could come up with like rough sketches or somthing idk anything. its brain storming. got ideas for your own projects? lets hear em. we can build off other peoples ideas, or you could build off of mine. im just trying to do somthin with an old board.. thats all. mabey a "wow thats a really shitty idea" or yeah just mount here... cut here, use this, dont do that" of any thing... is that such a hard concept. im not asking any thing, except a discussion

search some first build posts and a lot of ppl give advice in those treads for beginners

well, i have no building exprience, no power tools, and im looking for a cheap way, to liven up an old deck.. i dont wanna rush into baltic birch and presses. but just to humor you, i'll take a peek any way

it's gonna be really hard without any power tools, you can usually find a cheap jig saw for about 20 bucks it'll make the job a million times easier

oh, my dads friends have jig saws.. and there pretty chill about that stuff. but the more i see these threads the more stoked i am about building a board, like i really wanna do it now lol. but i have one thing.. how will i get concave on my boards (if i do build em) by putting weights in the center or what? (trying to take the cheapest, bang for your buck method)

cheapest method would be the simple toothless method. it gives camber but no concave.

if you want just concave, try a press down the middle press. you can really just copy the press by looking at the pics

all of those seem really, and i mean really complicated is there anything easier.. the toothless looks the easiest but still, its just a long and drawn out process. i dont think spending like 200$ in wood and materials will out weigh the finished product. i mean it seems fun, and interesting and all but meh.

If building your own board seems like too much, maybe consider buying a Sector9 Joel Tudor model? I hear that they are lovely.

little green rock... i have a sector nine joel tudor.. and thats what im trying to hack up. and it is not enjoyable thats why im trying to hack it up.
