well, i made a LDP Proto last week. it was made of two 3/8s cheap plywood, just so i could get the feeling for the shape. only one problem: i pressed it flat... so i wheelbite even with a 1/2 riser, and a wedge, with cambrias. so i decided to chop it with some cutaways. luckily i already had made some cutaway cads, and PDFs to print. so the design work as already done. well here is a pic so you are no longer blind.
its is 37" long, 10 inches tapered to 8 inches. the wheelbase it 32 inches. i don't know the Foot Platform, but i can fit my size 13 feet on this deck comfortably. the flat is comfy, but i think if i redo the board with 1/8 plys, i am going to Rocker a front pocket, and concave the back foot, so i can drive it hard. with the indys on it it feels like it has a smaller wheelbase, and the pic has otangs, but i found that hard to footbrake on when campus cruising. that is too much go and slow movement, where footbraking=not hitting ppl.
the reason i made it was to have a "steal-able" board. i go to a College with enough shady people that i dont want to bring my nicer decks here. this deck const me 6 dollars to make, wood, glue and paint. i already had a skill saw, and a belt sander. it took less than a hour of work time to make. all the holes are there because i was experiment with wheelbases for the LDP. i just recycled the deck ti thrash and trash.
i guess i should enter this in the 5 to 10 dollar deck contest...

it shouldn't break any time soon. i weight 280, and it doesn't flex. its that cheap 3/8s inch plywood they have at home depot. it think its pine, though i could be wrong. so the over all its just a hair over 6/8" thick. no flex, even when i really drive the turns hard. while i hate shopping there, cheap plywood is still like 10 bucks there. at a lumber yard its 25. sigh... california, the mini model of national debt.

i also made 1 from trash i use MDF board and a 5 layer of plywood i dun know wat kind but it really sucks so i combine both the wood
turn out it really strong and a little bit of flex but its really heavy because of the MDF
24" long ,7.5" wide no wheel bite
