i made a deck (still drying) and wanted some feed back on what you all thought of the construction. i made three decks already but all were pretty thick and heavy. the most recent lay up is:
8oz cloth
24oz cloth
1/8 " birch ply
24 oz cloth
1/8 " birch ply
24 oz cloth
8oz cloth
i did some pretty cool black splatter on the top ill post some pics within a day or so.
the board is all done now i couldnt be happier. turns out it was strong enough with just the 24oz so i didnt have to add the 8oz i have some photos up of the board in another post hopefully this link works.
Is the 24 oz E-cloth? Or Woven Roving? I don't really like either of those... they feel dead just on their own, not to mention that's a TON of layers, it's a nice layup but I feel that with all that woven/e-cloth the whole board will feel totally dead
turrns out when it the 24oz woven roven dried the was strong enough so i didnt need to add the two 8z layers. the board does have some weight with a nice flex to it but its alot better compared to the first few boards i made
