just wondering, why aluminum on the stiffer parts of the deck and not the middle where most of the flex would occur? looks fun though, good job!

so, heres the reason for the aluminum right behind the trucks is probably the weakest part. the part that i see would break. and i used a 5x5 sheet of 1/8 BB and used 4 sheets layed down which makes 12 plys 3 each.
Oh and of course Amfab! My dad and i worked only 5 days on this so far. from 12pm-4pm everyday. We have alot of tools though. and he has ALOT of experience with em. hes making a jeep. which is a 1942 model lol. and he works at boeing where he used to be a mechanic. so... he kinda made it look easy. we didnt use traditional methods are far as the press goes though. and it worked out great. TODAY: 6 oz. fiberglass smacked to the bottom. TOMORROW: sand that and add an insurance layer. except since we r using weave we will us that one going at 45 degreee angle. so we get torsional strength. (then wait a month) dads going friging japan i might do the second fiber layer at my moms by myself at the age of 13 ya BTW THIS IS MY FIRST BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
