Its not oftern someone goes so boldly away from the traditional shape of a longboard with such success.
I also really like the different colours of the plys, makes the deck look realy nice. The whole deck is nice and clean and crisp. Loving it. Well done c0ck.
Good job guys. You all made some real nice decks. I hope all the photo documentation helps some of the new or potentially new builders see how it's done.
Sorry I was a bit absent this time around. Life called and things got a bit hectic at Casa d' Sniffle or the changing of the casa anyway.
Loki did a fine job filling in. Let's hear it for Loki! Yeah!
So let's hear what everyone thinks of the entries and the contest concept. I may keep the photo documentaion idea for future build-offs. Speaking of future build offs....The Build-Off will be back for an end of year fling around Nov and Dec. Keep your eyes peeled for updates.
I have to say I kind of really like Mikejnr and 1983's entries a lot. Hard choices as always. Maybe it's a good thing this contest wasn't a popular. Trying to decide over twenty or so boards can be like pulling teeth.

Will longboarders be the new shortboarders?
I voted for jestah or his unique approch to assembleing a drop deck. Some beatiful stuff in this build off though. The marquetry work was amazeing. Chillerdecks thans for the tutorial.
Amazing boards. I voted for woodcock for really inovative style and design. But I feel that Mike Jr and Jesta both deserve big points for true inovation. It is that kind of creative experimentation that will move the sport forward. Great job everyone!
Making the longboard for his daughter was great! Sorry though, I had to vote for chiller. That deck was awesome, I loved the old Lesters and the inlay and combination of different wood grains got my vote.
i gotta give my vote to my old man, woodcock longboards. Ive seen that board up close and it's sweet, without inperfection. i might have to steal it from him when i get the chance.
