Well, you didnt stubmle across my thread then, Course you can, more than enough pressure to suck down glass over a foam core, just make sure you only do one side of the board at a time, and perhaps don't do more than 2 layers of glass, in the bag.
Probably best to get a larger bag as well, mine is 70" by 20" makes it so much easier, and its still tricky, when you have wet epoxy that your trying to put in a bag without it getting all over you or the sealing strip.

Anyway good luck, have fun with it.
Wow, looks cool,
I have been thinking of getting a roarockit for laminating ply but also glass.
Do you have the outlet(where you attach the hand pump) on the side you are not glassing, so it doesn't leave a mark form the valve?

ok sorry I guess I didn't thanks for the info because in some of the threads I was reading they said it wouldn't work with a roarockit but I have proof that it works thanks a bunch I didn't want to have to go out and make another vacuum bag my last one was a complete failure.
the board I am going to be building is going to be almost exactly like the carbon evo I have been saving for the materials for almost as long as it's been out it's gonna be about 200 dollars but i think thats a good hand off compared to $538.95
cheers,
Matt

Well, i emailed them and they suggested and recommended a larger bag, so i bought a larger bag, bieing such a nice company they set up a special item with the custom bag, 3 lots of sticky tape stuff, a breather netting, and the pump all for $98.
THe shipping to get it in the UK cost more than the bag but it was worth it, it came in 2 days.
Just E-mail them, not ted, but his wife, ted does'nt reply. She will get back to you with all you need to knwo and fast.
Good luck with it, any more questions are welcome honestly i dont mind. If no one answered my questions, i wouldnt be able to give other answers and advice.

Sorry didnt see you question there.
Because the was wet epoxy in it i didnt want to get the valve all gunked up and stuck, and as you mention there is the problem of having and indent of the breather netting and all that sort of stuff.
So the way i did it was, to have the valve, with a piece of tissue paper, abit liek kitchen rool i guess, to absorbe any unwanted resin getting near the valve, (it was wrapped in a circle around the valve) Then i had my netting under the foam mold, then a sheet of plastic over the foam mold, just to make sure it didnt stick to the foam, even though i had covered it in releasing agent. Then i had the board and glass.
do you think just doing it upside down ( having the part with epoxy on the bottom and the nozzle on the top) and then flipping it over after pumping it would work? seems like it would be easier.
