That was really hard to decide.
I would like best to have a system with 20 or more available points to distribute them to my favourites:
- boby for innovation and craftmanship,
- xpload for the shape and topcoat finish,
- funkpod + jeff189 for building truly cute and emotive minis,
- wallstreetjazz for wood-selection,
- sidewalk_surfer and redundor for the courage to try out not so ordinary things
… and many others i forgot.
whow.
i love these contests.

tough decision on this one. I like a lot of them. Wish a couple had nicer finishes, and better descriptions. I lean toward the Russian board in some ways, I like the creativity and theme applied as well as the description of such. Boby and Expload both kick butt, and I like Salmillas as well. Not sure, sometimes I think a pure wood deck is just as good as some of the composites. If I had all these boards in my garage I'd spend more time on the BDS-style pool board than any of the others. I'm torn between boby and xpload though. I don't know who to to vote for, I might abstain.
Well that's it. Another build off comes to a close. Lots of good builds this time. Some of you guys are really stepping it up. It shouldn't be too long before the big board companies come knocking and barge in and bust up your presses. Rocco nearly did it to a friend of mine. True story. So who won this thing?
Looks like we had three builders who's boards really rose to the top.
boby it looks like with 34 votes you get to start your bragging, singing Queen songs while pumping your fists in the air and (most importantly) filming said Queen sing-a-long for all of us to see on YouTube.
Second and third places were real close with only one vote difference (25 to 24) but I'm sorry to say that absorbentpig got XPLOAD-ed. That is to say that XPLOAD got second and absorbentpig got third. Good job both of you.
Now all of you builders go out and make sure all those boards get skated!
And here is the heads up!
We are rolling right into the next contest. Some of you guys got a jump into this with this contest but starting September 1 we are having the Composite Build Off. All entries have to be a composite built board. No material restrictions except it can't be wood only. So start getting your materials together and planning out what you want to build because it will be Go Time! before you know it.

Will longboarders be the new shortboarders?
Thanks guys. There has been some awesome entries. It had gave me many idea's for future builds.
Yeah, Richard, I'd love it if you would give it a go. Another opinion is always appreciated. I'll hopefully make it to Auckland, but I'll see. I have a few exam's coming up.
I went out for a skate today. I've been trying to 'coleman' but never managed to get the deck back around. But today, it was different. I used my speedboard sliding. Normally I use something else. First attempt. WHAM!! Wheels screeching, I managed to pull off a full coleman! And come out with some speed! Must have been the board eh!? haha.
As for some 'Queen', haha. I'm not much of a singer....
Anyway, great entries everybody!
I look forward to seeing what the next contest has to bring to the table.
thanks for the votes guys! big props to everyone that entered, there is seriously some awesome work being done in this place! now to decide what to do for the next comp :P
Congratulations to the winners, your boards are amazing. And congratulations to EVERYBODY for setting the bar so high. Not all of us won but we're in this together so congratulations for doing what you love and for doing it well. It's amazing that boards of such quality are made on regular peoples' spare time.
