depressing... raced with a few guys tonight. got beat by my own evo... a buddy wanted to take it on a run and ended up beating me by a good 30 yards... i felt so shitty... but i wasnt on a board set up for downhill so i'll blame it on that.
Was sitting here shirking work and reading chatter from all the silverfish bushings geeks when I was like, hey, maybe I can take the black jimz out of my grizzlies and put them in my indy/core frankentrucks? Took the superglider for a dash to my favorite hill--jimz top (closer to the baseplate, right?)/red khiro insert bottom in front, bennett barrel top/red khiro insert back--and it kinda rocked. More better urethane = more better. Skated back to cannibalize the other grizzly for the back and now I'm off to test it. Productive work day!

decided to ride a mini a friend made to water polo practice and needless to say... i need to put griptape on it. fell making a turn on rough concrete and i took a chunk outa my shoulder and i have some gnarly road rash on my hip... hurts like crap.
Finally rode down the hill entirely from my work carving the sidewalk...I usually footbrake halfway down otherwise I'll wobble to death. With the way my Flexdex C29's set up, it can easily carve the sidewalk and control my speed. My next step is to take it down a block and ride the larger hill...provided no cars get in my way.
My friend who was also skating home on my mini, tried carving at a higher speed and the wheels slid out under him. (krown wheels, not very grippy at all, good sliding wheels?)
Anyone here ever hurt their insides to prevent falling?
I was practicing some cross-stepping on my way up to the main strip here at MSU to buy some books, yeah books, and it has some mellow hills on the way there. I was practicing on my cross-stepping on a paved hill, then was practicing my cross-stepping at a higher speed on a sidewalk hill. My board started bouncing when I was in the back of it and I launched off the front and somehow managed to outrun it. I hit on my feet and jolted so hard that my insides hurt. It was ridiculous. But I didn't have any pads on and I REFUSED to get road rashed.
It was a sick ride though...

since the longboarding season is almost over i got my burton freestyle bindings mounted on my rossignol snowboard :) PUSH DON'T POLLUTE
Stayed up all night at my friends house to go early morning skating. Went out at 5:15am and walked up to this 40mph tech. run, but it was being repaved and there were metal grates bumps/cracks in it, aswell as water around a g-turn. At the top it was perfect pavement so i decided to do it anyway....and would just pendy before the water. I end up going thriugh the water first (cus its 5:30am and im cracked out from no sleep) and THEN doing the slide, and the water makes me almost slide into the curb. Then there is was nice straight away thats say low 40s and skated that and that was fun......but now im starting to cone my wheels.
I was skating the same downhill section I was talking about early with the sidewalk, and it's just absolutely loaded with people. So I'm bookin' down this hill at a decent speed, and I am just weaving in and out like it's my jay oh bee, and it was quite a rush. I think a video is needed.

this week's not my week. I've drifted into a guardrail, been bucked off standup sliding, and just yesterday i was doing an ollie, hit a rock, and opened my scabs up. Today, i decided to take a break from skateboarding, and i promptly went over the handlebars on my bike. Maybe tomorrow will be less painful.
