I'm deciding between getting the Evo, because i like DH alot, but i also think the footwork and longboard dancing is insanely awesome. The dancer deck i want to get is Adams Old Skool Dancer off longboardlarry.net. Both of the decks cost about the same but which one should i get?
You wouldn't really need an Evo then. Or any downhill board for that matter. I think you'll be a lot happier with the dancer. And if you want a sort of hybrid between dancing and still downhillability maybe check out the Komodo.

Chill out, spread the stoke.
you could also consider an arcane dancer the "big sir"
thats mine...costs about $40 less than an osd. that could be put towards better components or some custom work.
oh its a sick ride BTW...i LOVE IT. PM Arcane ask him about his boards...
IF you want to do dancing and bomb hills, get a Sector 9 Nosewalker. Not much flex and it has slight concave so it can easily do the speeds your looking at (more if needed) and its a 55 inch deck WITH a kicktail so you can take it off stair sets *Sarcasm*

I know it isn't the correct board but I have a LandYachtz Dh and it is perfect for some begining dancing. It is so stable! So the evo is probably the same. The only concern on my mind is the weight and the length of the the dancer. Get the EVO or DH if you want to carry it easily in a store or something.
You could also consider the Roggs Dancer. (it's the big one)
Thought the "rasta finish" picture would be fun to post alongside Rastamans board, which itself has the "rasta" look!
it is ten bucks more than the OSD, BUT wheel wells on an OSD are ten bucks extra; on a Roggs, they're free with every board, so it evens out nicely! There is no point not getting wheel wells on a dancer unless you want to run tight ass trucks and limit your fun!
Don't get me wrong, Larry makes some good boards, especially if you're just starting out. However, the Roggs is more something that you can start on, and have grow with you as your skill level increases. That being said, if you hadn't ridden anything else first before riding the Roggs Dancer, I don't think you'd appreciate it in the same way.....trust me, there's a reason I don't ride anything else now
