Still learning/new to pumping, and finally got the hang of doing so, I am finding that I'm getting pain on the arches after about 5 seconds or so of pumping. Is this just something I'll get used to/conditioned to, or is there something I'm not doing right (like my stance)? I find this happening on pretty much any of my 3 boards: Kahuna Hydro, Flexdex C29, and my 22 inch Humu-like mini.
i was at a ducks game and i saw snoop dogg and i yelled "SNOOP-A-LOOP" and he winked at me.

Resident Gear Whore
money = cotton = plant = more factory
production = more smoke in the atmosphere = ice caps melting = more of the world
in water = world demise = happy planet with no humans, im not very positive..............coleman, toesides, 360 with each, surrenders, flatspins
(don't get gellies, they're actually bad for your back and arches)
or it'll go away. it went away for me, and I was on orthotics to start with. it's a conditional thing for some, an ortho problem for others

Oh I get used to get that all the time, now it's stopped but I didn't know what it was either...
Just give it time.
Truth! You will definitely hurt for a few weeks as your muscles adapt to any kind of newly introduced athletic activity but as you practice those muscles get stronger and the effort needed to pull off the tricks is decreased. Result. It gets much easier and doesn't hurt as much.
The shape of your board may have a little to do with it also. I noticed that when I am on my boyfriends board I get pain in my feet more often when I pump compared to when I am on my board. My deck has W concave which helps support my arch more. If you do some stretching ( sit on the floor with your feet in front ... bend over and grab your feet and flex them as much as you can ) it might help your feet.
Get some arch support in your shoes. Happened to me when I was roller blading, putting a nice arch in helped. Also make sure your shoes are ok....12yo Vans aren't good for skating.
I happen to have good tall arches.. But 3 artificial joints in my feet. My podiatrist told me facts of how much stress your feet take, thousands of times a day... Good shoes that fit and I'd suggest trying a slightly more parallel stance.
