I've been doing a lot more commuting to class on crappy sidewalks and my feet have been going almost numb lately. I have lemon zigs on a flex 3 loaded pin for my every day beater-board. I'm thinking about a slightly larger softer wheel, like... powerballs? Anyone have any other tips that might help out my poor feet.

Simple loosen your shoe laces around your toes area of your shoes.
Also stop walk around and lean down grab your toes and pull up stretch your feet. Or stand on the edge of a curb on your toes only and let your feet drop down this will also stretch your feet.
Also Buy Etnies skate shoes they have a fully hidden EVA mid sole like a running shoe to soften the blow. Also buy a open lace throat shoe instead of close lace throat shoe.
The open throat is more adjustable for lacing.

Yeah just try a lower duro wheel and that should help a bit.
Also I don't know if you know this (you probably do) but avoid standing directly on the trucks else it will be even more vibratey.
Make sure your shoes aren't too tight.
Gel insoles?
Maybe find a different path?
Try using your knees to lessen the bump bump of the cracks in the sidewalk.
Once your feet start to get numb get off and walk a bit and loosen them back up.
Any of these might help I guess.

I think it's gonna be long. Like thirty-seven feet.
Get any shoe with a thick sole, preferably from a decent brand, because they're much higher quality. Bigger wheels will help, id go with superballs or 77mm Hawgz, if you want bigger, then go with flywheels.

Its usually because of weak arches. Better foot support works really well, but if you don't wanna pay for new shoes and ride alot and your muscles will get stronger

The problem with flywheels is that they have a huge core, not exactly going to help him in this situation. Wood/Bamboo just tends to really, really pass the vibrations along to you, when I had my tactis deck it was a lot easier riding on crappy pavement without going numb, plastic seems to disperse everything a lot better, or maybe it was the rails. Thicker soles on your shoes, a shock riser, wheels with more urethane will help to an extent.
