Longboard Cruisers, Carving, Commuting, Long Distance Pumping and BoardwalkingWhen it's all about the ride, the general discipline of riding a longboard.
So I have had my dervish set up with some randals and 77/78 strikers for quite some time now. Back in march i got a LBL dancer deck for the birfday, and my poor dervish has been laying in my basement with no set up since.
Now before you get indignent on me there is a reason. My buddy and I were skating a while back and he decided to practice his nose manuel skillz while riding infront of me. He loses it, board flies back and cracks the front of my (at that time) brand new dervish so my plan has been to fix the nose with some fiberglass, sand the baby down, do my own paint and grip job and set it up again.
well, the time has come and I need to know what trucks to get. I am open to almost any reverse kingpin truck out there, I have only riden randals and chargers. I will say i was impressed with how smooth the chargers were. My randals are set up with blue khiro barrels on the bottom and yellow tracker barrels on top and are lossey goosey so you guys have an idea of what i like. Any input would be awesome.
also, im pretty set on the yellow bigzigs but anyone got anything to say about orangotangs?
with trucks you can't go wrong: go randal, paris or holey. (although don't know if these fit the drop)
wheels: bigzigs would be good. all orangatangs too.
but what will you do the most with the board? it's more easy to find a good wheel for you when you say that.
