sorry dude im gonna have to call bullshit here. the whole point of freedom of the press is that you can print anything that isn't libel. now if you took a photo of a mayor smoking a cigarette and reported it as being a marijuana joint, then that's illegal. That's libel, because it damages the reputation of the subject with untrue claims.
if you're in public, on a public property (ie, not indoors on private property) you can publish any and all photos taken at that location. no matter what's in them.
Film on the other hand is quite different, you must have release forms and such which is why most people on COPS will have blurred faces.
I would have a tough time wanting to live in a country that doesn't allow this.
Also, did some reading up on swedish law and found the allemansrätten, which says you can trespass anywhere without repercussion as long as you're not invading privacy. I'm not sure how this coincides with journalism in sweden but im curious. zampraz, do you have any references or links i can read about? I know some swedish so if they're in swedish it's fine. I'm wondering because im interested in living there at some point.
I don't really, though some people had asked the police on a swedish forum about the laws of where you could skate. The police said skateboarders are viewed as pedestrians, so they should travel on the sidewalk, but if they travel faster then a pedestrian then they should travel on the bike path, if none exists then the right side of the road, which is where I was anyway so It's fine :P
Wardlarson, what kind of law were you interested in? I might be able to find something
well basically laws on photography and journalism. im not sure what to look for in terms of 'legal terms' for that so im lost. just looking for something that tells you what you can shoot, when, where, and what you have to do to get permissions.
also any website that overviews swedish law would be helpful too.
an hour and a half of hard cones, my legs are jello. Actually it was a god session though I set too loose a course which actually required a lot of pumping to stay fast...thus the reason my legs are shot but it was nice..

Me and my friend were going down the sidewalk and we passed this Starbucks and there was a lady drinking something. She threw it down in front of me and I had to swerve to miss the glass. She mumbled something and I said what??? And then she said fvck. So I politely responded 'you too!' Then she started following us on a bike and my friend was afraid of being stabbed by her. She kept yelling fvck behind us. Then we let her pass and she said "you sure are friendly."
i had sweet day skating in a carpark while it was raining. mostly big manuals and speed runs through the hills that go to the next lvl. did some old school tricks and slides without gloves. got kicked out of 3 before we found this one. funny as. longboard rulz the world.
Just came home from a total of 8 miles, 4 to the park played ball for three ours, 4 miles back....and.....i feeelll like a champ haha.. but my legs are fried
Skated around campus, just chill cruising and some carving, had to bail three times (twice because of monster step-up uneven cracks in the sidewalk, and once because bikers were on the edge of the sidewalk as i bombed a hill corner so i had to hang wide into the grass) but hot as hell. Besides all that though good to be back on the board after a 7 week hiats.
so this week is suppose to get the hottest it has all summer. alll up in the 100+ degree temps.
so i went out to board to the mall, around a 4 mile ride one way, and hangout with my brother and see if anyone wanted to chill or anythign like that. it was HOT today. 110 degrees. the ride to the mall not bad. a few hills but nothin big. the ride back. insane. i thoguht i was going to pass out a few time. i had water for the ride to, but was out for the ride back. bad mistake. i got back and the first thing my dad said to me was "man your face is red!"
not gunna make that mistake again.

been out several of the last few nights along white bear lake, a beautiful little area near me that's got a walk/bike path and one way street around a section of it, and it's been repaved with this great little surfy curb between the two. really have pumping down now, which gets some looks from people, and is a good workout!
tonight i also tried "skogging" or switch pushing or whatever you'd like to call it, and it really is quite fun and keeps both legs fresher than if you only push with one! now i just have to keep doing it so i'm completely comfortable pushing with either leg, and then maybe work on switch stance...that still causes me to wobb at cruising speeds
i've been real courteous to everyone out walking and biking, saying "hello" or " 'evening" to folks, and being careful to stay out of the way, etc. most everyone's been all smiles, nods, or non-obscene hand gestures so far. amazing what kind of respect a little bit of everyday stoke and politeness'll get ya.....
man today i got worked so hard. i went on a recon looking for good hills in an area im not familiar with and i found a beautiful hill. i drove it twice to check the turns and whatnot. but damn when i actually started to skate it, it was way faster than i thought. went down twice but made them count... slid into a tree the first time and into traffic the other (scarred the sh!t out of me...). my slide gloves basically saved my life today and that isnt an exaggeration at all. God dude tonight was bad. somehow i got roderash through my jeans. i realize more now than ever how badly i need leathers though. so that realization i guess made this session worth it. im going to be so sore tomorrow...
